Keys to bringing your local Republican Party to life

I just wanted to take a few minutes tonight and give my thoughts on bringing together a local Republican political party in today’s world. The times of the past are the past it is time to look forward, and build upon what we have.

In going forward one of the most important things to remember is the party belongs to all of those on the grassroots level. While grassroots local groups should work with those on a State and National level, it is very important to remember what I said. This party belongs to the grassroots without grassroots efforts the party represents no one.

Grassroots local groups are who get qualified, local leaders elected. The way this is done is by energizing our local base. There are many ways grassroots efforts organize and I want to share few ideas with everyone. I hope that you will use some of them, and build upon them in your local areas. While I will far from say I am best strategy person in the world, I do believe all of the work I have done in grassroots efforts have taught me how to find new ways to build upon efforts and energize people to work toward a common goal.

I think it is important before we go forward to first recognize what are grassroots efforts in the Republican Party. In my mind it is everything involved in the local party, from finding candidates, to raising money, to getting voters out, it is simply the big picture of everything involved with a local party. All of the work you do is consider grassroots efforts.

Now that we are all on the same page, let’s sit back and consider you trying to breathe life back into a group on the local level. What are some good strategies for doing so? Number one is put people to work, find out what their passion is, what their skills are and get them working as quickly as possible. Letting any small amount of time go by from the time they show interest and giving them something to do only gives their energy and interest in working with the local party fade.

Don’t just sit back and wait for people to come to you, seek out like minded people to work on the local level. There are so many groups out there that local level leaders on not tapping into, and they will help grow the local base. I will use one such group as an example, the VFW. As a veteran of a foreign war myself, I know that most veterans are Republicans, reach out to the commander of your local VFW post and ask them for a few minutes at their next meeting to address their members about the needs of the local Republican Party. Go and talk with them about why you are a republican and why you need their help. I can just about say without a doubt that you will walk away with some real leaders ready to work hard for the party from day one.

Now remembering the example I just used the VFW (Core Value of the Republican Party Strong National Defense) In the same manner reach out to other groups in your local area that represent a core value of the party, and talk with them at their meetings about your local grassroots efforts and seek the help of their members (not the groups help but the members help). These are people with a proven track record of joining groups and lending their time and support for the good of the group. They will come out and work, if you and key here to remember is put them to work and do so quickly. Go with a few ideas in mind that you can put them to work on within the shortest amount of time as possible.

Now that you are building your base and finding people to do the many jobs within your local party it is time to build your base of voters. So many times I have seen Parade Floats, booths and the like with big bold letters stating Republican Party !!!! Do people out there really believe that, big signs and floats are wining the masses over and bringing them to the party just because they put up a big sign. I think not, and I do not buy into that way of doing things. If it where that easy we would have no need for grassroots efforts. Here is an idea worth considering, put together a booth with a questions and answers, equal them out between Republican party beliefs and Democratic party beliefs and the end reveal to them if they just voted Republican or Democrat, have people ready to talk with them about their answers and register them to vote when they are finished. I believe that most thinking Americans will find that they truly are Republicans, when the truth is put before their eyes in a way that they can see it for themselves.

When it comes to educating voters about the core beliefs of the our party the ideas and ways of doing so is almost limitless. Just sit back and think about your local area,  and I am sure you can come up with ideas of doing so . If you want my suggestions just email me, I would be more than happy to share, and swap ideas with you.

I have rambled on enough for tonight about my thoughts on grassroots organizing, thanks for listening and I hope some of my thoughts give you something new to think about.

A Kentucky Voters View of The Upcoming US Senate Race

As a Republican here in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, I have been trying to choose which candidate I will support and try and do my best to help get elected into office. At the moment I have started with looking at just a few Candidates two of them at the moment stand out Rand Paul and Bill Johnson. However as just a normal every day person I have not heard a lot from every candidate. So what I think at the moment is a little narrow and I look forward to hearing more about each and every Candidate who will run for this very important office.

Rand Paul who I have heard a lot from on UTube, over all to me seems to have a lot of great energy and has some really good ideas to bring our country back to where it should be. I listened to Bill Johnson today at a local Republican Party meeting; he makes some very good arguments as to why he is the very best candidate.

I think the real truth is in the heart of questions people ask at smaller get together with candidates. Let’s all understand each other completely I am looking for someone who is going to truly 100% tell me the way they feel exactly about each and every issue, not talk around an issue. Neither one of these candidates completely does this but they do come close.

I hope that each and every person in Kentucky will truly take the time and consider all of the pros and cons of each and every person who has decide to run to represent Kentucky in the United States Senate. The time for people just sitting back and waiting for the primaries to be over is a time of the past. If we do not all work to make sure we are putting someone forward past the primaries that really represent the Core Values of the party then we are part of the problem with Washington DC. We as voters must be educated about what each person represents, not how much money they have raised, or who they know in the Political world.

I do not know about all of you but I want to hear the candidate I support say he or she, believes that life begins the moment a child has been conceived, and that they will do everything they can to make it illegal to perform or have an abortion.

I want to hear they will do everything they can to reduce the size of our government.

I want to hear that the best way to defend our country is by having the strongest and best military in world.

I want to hear my candidate say that our government should be as small as possible providing only the critical functions that the people themselves cannot do alone.

I want to hear my candidate say they support low, fair taxes for all allowing for capital growth in our economy, and not standing in the way of this growth with high taxes and regulations that only stunt growth.

I am a strong supporter of coal, off shore drilling, and nuclear energy. By doing more of all of these we will keep a large amount of our own money here in the US and stop making our enemies and people who hate our way of life richer every day.

I want to hear my candidate say our country was built on Christian Values and that they will fight to preserve these values.

I want to hear my candidate say I believe in equal rights, equal justice, and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age, or disability.

I think you get the point but if anyone needs to hear more about what a republican is, or rather what a republican should be let me know I would be more than happy to enlighten you.

I do not want to hear a candidate talk around supporting any of these issues. They are all yes or no, not well it depends. It depends on nothing you either agree with them or you do not. You will either fight to protect these or you will not just say what you mean and follow through if you are elected.

Out with the Old and In with the New !!

I am coming back to life on a new site and new place to call home to my blog. I was very disappointed to have been shut up by google, and to have lost the many of followers from that site. Hopefully here at a more conservative site people will not feel the need to shut me up.
I hate to say it but I really believe what got me in trouble over at google was by posting the Declaration of Independence. I asked people when I did so to consider where we are today and what is in this document. I did not name the document and never would have thought it would have ever caused such an up roar. Some people just went crazy calling me everything in the book from Treasonist to racesists. It let them all ramble before finally pointing out that it was the "Declaration of Independence". Someone must have really felt stupid and requested that google shut me down, just so that there own ignorance would not be seen.
This is all I am going to say on this issue as it is not important enough to take up to much of my time.

Much more to come on important issues
